Using Billy Cobham’s “Red Baron” for Ideas

The melody in Red Baron has an interesting rhythmic device whereby 8th-note triplets are grouped in 4 eights to create some rhythmic tension. That opens the door for thinking up different licks that will accommodate this rhythmic device. In other words, you can think up some cool shit to play using this part of the melody.
